Our Great Ocean Road Tour – Wildlife & Raging Coastlines

December 15th, 2017 By Terry Smit

Last week my brother and I decided to spend a day exploring outside of Melbourne City and check out the Great Ocean Road. After umm-ing and ahh-ing we decided a day guided tour would be best. We were both really tired and didn’t have time to research the car journey if we drove on our own, so booked the Great Ocean Road Classic Tour with Bunyip Tours.

It has been my dream to visit Erinsborough since I was a little kid. Today was the day it finally happened. At 10:00 am, I departed Bunyip Tours office with the rest of my tour group. Our guide, Gerry was lots of fun and had all the passengers interacting and laughing all the way to Ramsay Street.

Breathtaking Views at Wilsons Promontory

February 25th, 2017 By Terry Smit

Wilsons Promontory is a national park located about 150 kilometres south east from Melbourne. Yesterday I was one of the lucky people who got to pay a visit to this beautiful National Park. Jeremy & the vegetables… I got picked up from the hostel …off to Wilsons Prom. …My fellow adventurers were from countries such as Germany, England, US, Finland & New Caledonia…

Parading Penguins & Cute Koalas

January 20th, 2017 By Terry Smit

Melbourne is the capital of the state Victoria and also the perfect place to stay while going on day trips to the many parks and other attractions that surround Melbourne. The first time I was exposed to Australia’s beauty was last February when I made a day trip to Wilsons Prom and a three day trip to The Great Ocean Road & The Grampians. I had so much fun on these tours that I couldn’t wait to go explore with Bunyip Tours again. Destination: Philip Island!

12 unique Things To Do in Melbourne

October 30th, 2016 By Terry Smit

Teeming with green spaces, wide tree-lined boulevards, and a vibrant cultural scene, it is little wonder that Melbourne is regularly voted one of the most liveable cities in the world. Combined with a low population density, its array of public parks, gardens and open spaces ensures the city avoids the feeling of claustrophobia that envelopes so many other urban centres…

Meeting a “Neighbours TV Celebrity” on my Neighbours’ tour

September 26th, 2015 By Terry Smit

“Neighbours… everybody needs good Neighbours…”. This song sticks in my head throughout the day… A trip to the Neighbours set & meeting one of its stars …the soap celebrates 30 years this year, …you can’t help but strike a pose in front of the Erinsborough sign. (Fun fact – Erinsborough is a loose anagram of Neighbours).

Amazing guide Stefan took us to the places on the list and to other sites to cater to our likes and the weather. Wild weather on the coast added to the stories of shipwrecks and martyrs but rain kept us from some of the activities. Food was all great. Accommodations good. Stefan's knowledge enhanced the sites. Shared the van with a family of 5 from Taiwan who were fun to be with. Kangaroos, Wallaby, Tiger snake, Koala, Emu, deer, goats, and tons of beautiful Australian birds. Great trip.

Scott is funny, amazing, caring, best tour guide. He prepared the hot coffee and cakes for us after the Penguin Parade in a cold, windy evening. I never get bored with Scott for a nearly 12 hours tour. Good Job Scott and look forward to join your tour next time.

What an amazing experience. Kellie was so informative as we went round and so helpful. The tour is broken up into 4 sections and was fantastic. From seeing koalas today the actual parade which is fascinating. Well worth it but where warm clothes this time of year as it does get very windy and cold!
