Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies

During our tour to Phillip Island we visit the award winning Moonlit Sanctuary, where you hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies. There’s nothing more special than having these adorable animals eat from the palm of your hand. The kangaroos and wallabies have been raised at Moonlit Sanctuary and are used to people around them. They are particularly friendly if you have some food to offer. Give them a pat on the back of the neck and take some kangaroo selfies while you are there!

See penguins up close

Take part in the ultimate southern hemisphere experience; discovering the penguins that call Phillip Island home! After sunset, at the Penguin Parade you can see hundreds of the world’s smallest penguins as they return from fishing out at sea. They emerge in groups from the ocean, and waddle across the sand together. Upon reaching the sand dunes they head their separate ways – to return to their nests, in burrows in the sand dunes. You can walk right alongside them as they go!

Woolamai Beach, at the eastern end of Phillip Island is popular with local surfers. Facing the Southern Ocean, the beach is the best place to watch large waves rolling in, with the pink granite of Cape Woolamai as a backdrop. For views of the coast that is home to seals, sea birds and penguins – head to Point Grant at the western end of the island.
