The Great Ocean Road, Victoria Home of The 12 Apostles
Enjoy the Great Ocean Road and all the fun to be had along the way
The spectacular Great Ocean Road is one of Australia's most scenic destinations. Experience and enjoy the breathtaking coastline of the Great Ocean Road, as every twist and turn exposes you to stretches of broad, uninterrupted beaches, dramatic coastlines and the lush rainforest of the Otway Ranges. All of this remarkable scenery provides an amazing postcard backdrop for all your memories. This is a day that will be etched in your memory forever.
Our Great Ocean Road tour highlights include the following attractions:
Bells Beach - This internationally acclaimed beach is a surfer’s paradise and has been the scene of several movies and renowned surfing events. Visitors can enjoy catching some waves or simply walking along the beach.
Lighthouse - Split Point Lighthouse, originally known as Eagles Nest Point, offers guided tours in which tourist can climb to the top of the lighthouse and step out onto the balcony. The lighthouse has also served as the backdrop for several TV shows and movies.
The 12 Apostles -These giant rock formations are located in the Port Campbell National Park and are the remains of limestone cliff caves carved over hundreds of years. After years of erosion, the limestone has given way and the 12 Apostles and other rock islands including London Bridge are what remain.
Loch Ard Gorge -Also located in Port Campbell National Park is Loch Ard Gorge. This historical landmark gets its name from the ship “The Lorch Ard”, which came to rest in the gorge after crashing amongst the surrounding breakers and cliffs. You can enjoy a trail walk, view the wreck lookout, and even a picnic along this scenic beach.
London Bridge - Also referred to now as the London Arch (due to the erosion of one of the arcs in 1990), this limestone stack is just another illustration of the natural architecture that that can be found along the Great Ocean Road.
You will see all of this and more on our various Great Ocean Road tours.
If you're looking for even more excitement then consider a helicopter ride above the 12 Apostles, or an extended stay to lengthen your time in this natural paradise.
